Smoosh!
This Privacy Policy applies only to the Smoosh! iPhone app and the Smoosh!-specific pages on the Goodale Studios website. Other Goodale Studios apps have their own privacy policies.
Smoosh! does not require a Goodale Studios account and does not operate a Goodale Studios game-data server. The app includes Google-served advertising, an optional one-time ad-removal purchase, and optional Apple Game Center features as described below.
Smoosh! stores campaign progress locally on your device, including unlocked levels, level star ratings, high scores, power-up inventory, bug mastery, and settings. This information is used only to provide game features and is not sent to Goodale Studios.
Goodale Studios cannot view, retrieve, correct, or remotely delete this locally stored game information.
If you choose to use Apple Game Center, Smoosh! submits your high score and achievement progress to Apple through GameKit. Game Center sign-in is optional, and all campaign gameplay remains available without it.
Game Center is operated by Apple and is subject to Apple’s privacy practices and your Game Center settings. Goodale Studios does not receive your Apple Account credentials, email address, or Game Center player profile. You can manage Game Center and its privacy controls through iOS Settings and your Apple Account.
Smoosh! uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to provide occasional interstitial ads and optional rewarded ads. Rewarded ads are initiated by the player and grant the displayed in-game coin reward only after the ad finishes. Ads do not require a Goodale Studios account.
Google and its advertising partners may process information such as device or other identifiers, advertising data, product interactions, coarse location derived from network information, and performance or crash diagnostics. Depending on your region and choices, some information may be linked to your device and may be used to deliver, measure, personalize, secure, or limit advertising. Google’s data practices are governed by its own privacy policies.
Where required, Smoosh! uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request consent or show privacy choices before ads are requested. Available choices vary by region. You can revisit privacy options from Smoosh! settings when Google makes them available. Smoosh! does not itself sell personal information.
Smoosh Ad-Free is an optional, non-consumable in-app purchase that permanently removes interstitial and rewarded advertisements for the Apple Account that purchased it. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Restore Purchases is available in the Power-Up Shop.
Apple processes the purchase, receipt, payment information, and restoration through StoreKit and the App Store. Goodale Studios does not receive your payment-card details. Removing ads stops future Google ad requests after the entitlement is recognized; it does not delete data previously processed by Google or Apple.
Smoosh! uses device audio and haptic feedback for gameplay. It does not request access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, precise location, or health information. Advertising providers may infer approximate location from network information without a precise-location permission.
You can mute game audio from the Smoosh! title screen and control device sound and haptic behavior through iOS settings.
The Goodale Studios website host may process routine technical request data, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp, to deliver and secure the website. Website activity is separate from locally stored Smoosh! game progress.
If you email support, Goodale Studios receives your email address and anything you choose to include. That information is used to answer your request, investigate problems, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. It is not sold or used for targeted advertising.
Smoosh! does not ask players to create a Goodale Studios account, publish content, or enter a name, address, or contact information. Advertising and platform providers may process the technical data described above. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s use, purchase decisions, privacy choices, and any communication with support. Contact us if you believe a child sent personal information to support.
Local progress remains on the device until the app’s data is reset or the app is deleted, subject to Apple device-backup behavior. Deleting Smoosh! removes its local data from that device.
Google, Apple, the website host, and support providers retain information according to their own policies and legal obligations. Support emails may be retained as reasonably necessary to answer requests, maintain support records, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations. Privacy requests concerning Google- or Apple-controlled data should be directed to the relevant provider.
This policy may be updated as Smoosh! develops. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. For privacy questions, email support@goodalestudios.com and include Smoosh! in the subject line.
